How often should I schedule a checkup?
Most patients benefit from a cleaning and checkup every six months. But if you have gum issues, a history of dental work, or other risk factors, we may recommend a custom schedule.
I have a dental emergency—when’s the soonest I can get an appointment?
If you’re experiencing a dental emergency, call us right away at 515.224.1618. We reserve time each day for urgent issues and will do everything we can to see you as soon as possible.
My mouth has been hurting. Can I wait until my next appointment?
Don’t wait it out—some symptoms signal urgent issues. Call us right away if you’re experiencing:
- A persistent or severe toothache
- Swelling in the mouth, gums, or jaw
- Broken or knocked-out teeth
- Signs of infection like fever or pus
