Complete and Partial Dentures
Get Dentures that Fit Your Mouth
Decay, accidents, and other issues can cause you to lose one or more teeth. However, full or partial dentures can restore the appearance and functionality of your smile.
Have a Natural Smile
The goal of Apex Dental is to fit you with dentures that match your existing or former teeth and mouth and face structure.
You will get dentures that:
- Appear natural: They will match the size, shape, and shading of your natural teeth.
- Fit securely in your mouth: Upper dentures often need no adhesive to remain in place.
- Provide you with the functionality: You will be able to confidently chew again.
- Are made with the highest quality materials available: We don’t have a “basic package.” All of our dentures are handcrafted by our own lab using the best materials and latest techniques to ensure a great-looking product that will last a lifetime.
Types of Dentures
- Removable Partial Dentures: Replace several missing teeth using your remaining natural ones.
- Complete Dentures: Full-arch replacements for all missing teeth.
- Immediate Dentures: Same-day dentures placed right after extractions.
- Conventional Dentures: Custom dentures made after healing for the best fit.
- Implant Supported “Snap-In” Dentures: Dentures that securely attach to dental implants.
Removable Partial Dentures
When several teeth are missing but some healthy teeth remain, a partial denture can restore your smile. It uses customized clasps on remaining anchor teeth and soft tissue support for a secure, comfortable fit. Metal-based or metal-free options are available.
Partial dentures are often compared to retainers, as they rely on your soft tissues and existing teeth to hold a plate that includes one or more replacement teeth. This makes them an excellent option for replacing multiple missing teeth at once—snapping into place like a puzzle piece.
Each partial denture is uniquely designed using metal and acrylic or entirely acrylic materials. Dr. Brad and our in-house lab carefully balance chewing forces across your remaining teeth and gums for long-term comfort and function. In some cases, small adjustments to your natural teeth may be recommended to optimize the fit.
Complete Dentures
Complete dentures replace an entire arch of missing teeth and can be fitted in several ways depending on your needs and timeline.
- Immediate Dentures: Same-day dentures placed right after extractions.
- Conventional Dentures: Custom dentures made after healing for the best fit.
- Implant Supported “Snap-In” Dentures: Dentures that securely attach to dental implants.
Whether you choose traditional or implant-retained dentures, Dr. Brad and our in-house lab will customize them for comfort, function, and a natural look.
Immediate Dentures
Immediate dentures are created before your extractions and placed the same day your teeth are removed—sometimes called “teeth in a day.” These are not temporary dentures; they’re made with premium materials by our in-house lab for a secure, attractive result right away.
Placing dentures immediately after extraction helps control swelling and protects your healing tissues. You’ll wear them continuously for about 24 hours after surgery, supporting guided healing and maintaining your appearance during recovery.
As your mouth heals and reshapes, a soft liner is placed for comfort. After four to six months, we perform a permanent reline for a precise fit.
Upper dentures benefit from suction, while lower dentures may need adhesive or implant support. Implant options can enhance both comfort and stability.
Conventional Dentures
Traditional dentures rely on suction and soft tissue support to stay in place. Today’s dentures are a far cry from the old versions of the past—modern materials like porcelain or acrylic make them more natural-looking, comfortable, and durable than ever before.
Our doctors use a precise, time-tested technique completed over several short visits. This process ensures your dentures fit securely and look beautifully natural, idealizing the position, shape, and color of healthy teeth. You’ll be involved in the design process so your new smile meets your expectations both functionally and aesthetically.
Implant Supported “Snap-In” Dentures
Implant-supported dentures, often called “snap-in” dentures, attach securely to implants placed in your jawbone. These implants act as anchors, holding your dentures firmly in place for a confident smile, improved chewing, and greater comfort.
- Dr. Brad places dental implants below your gum line.
- Over three to four months, your jawbone fuses with the implants.
- You’ll wear immediate dentures during healing.
- Once healed, your denture is converted to snap securely onto the implants.
- Support: Implants stabilize your denture like natural roots.
- Function: Speak and eat freely—no slipping or clicking.
- Comfort: No gum pressure or irritation.
- Jawbone Preservation: Implants prevent bone loss and facial sagging, helping maintain a youthful appearance.
