Dr. J knew she wanted to be a dentist by the time she was 13. Regular dental care and the confidence she gained in her own smile had a lasting impact, sparking a lifelong interest in oral and overall health. A Valley High School alum, Dr. J went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Science from Iowa State University before completing her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry.

Her educational path reflects a deep commitment to whole-person care, blending nutrition and dentistry to support long-term health. After serving patients in both community health settings and rural Iowa, Dr. J found her professional home at Apex Dental, where she now provides full, comprehensive care in a collaborative environment.

Dr. J specializes in restorative and esthetic dentistry, including crowns, fillings, and bridges. She values building relationships with patients and their families and enjoys working closely with the Apex Dental team to deliver detail-oriented, personalized treatment all under one roof. Patients appreciate her thoughtful approach and the confidence that comes from knowing their care is thorough and intentional.

Outside the office, Dr. J enjoys weightlifting, cooking, and baking. She and her husband are busy raising their two young sons, ages five and three, and love spending time together as a family.
