TMJ stands for tempro-mandibular joint. The TMJ is the joint that connects the upper and lower jaw and is responsible for the opening and closing of your mouth.
TMJ disorder is often characterized by pain and limited mobility in the jaw and surrounding tissue such as the muscles in the face and neck. TMJ disorder is a complicated myriad of muscle, dental, and jaw joint dysfunction resulting in pain and/or structural failure. Treatment involves a comprehensive exam, accurate diagnosis, muscle and joint therapy, and sometimes requires treatment to create a more stable bite.
No two patients are alike, and there is no single treatment for TMJ disorder that works for all patients. Our doctors will perform necessary exam and diagnosis, and will prescribe the proper course of action, sometimes involving the combination of multiple TMJ treatments depending on your needs and condition.
Dr. Brad and Dr. Mindy are both awesome, just stellar in their expertise and personalities. My highest recommendation. And I cannot even imagine a better hygienist than Jenny. I actually look forward to my visits. This is coming from a person that at one time absolutely shuddered at the thought of going to the dentist office.
Those days are ancient history. Really, look no further… THIS is the place, folks.
